Senior Manager Internal Consulting, Boehringer Ingelheim

My job in Inhouse Consultant:

Since November 2021, I have been working as a project manager in Internal Consulting at Boehringer Ingelheim, where I am responsible for supporting various business units in their most important projects. These can be, for example, the reorganization of an organizational unit or central issues in pipeline or portfolio management.

My daily business:

We support projects from the very first idea and ensure, among other things, that the project goal is clearly defined and that the best possible approach is taken to achieve the goal. A major task is to see the project in the overall context of the company. We identify and address internal dependencies and ensure that all key stakeholders are involved. If additional external consultants need to involve for additional support, we support in the selection phase, ensure a smooth process and that the desired results are achieved.

Why I like to work as Inhouse Consultant:

For me, working in Internal Consulting at Boehringer Ingelheim perfectly combines the two opposites of variety and continuity. Since our projects usually last a few weeks to a few months, you have the opportunity to get to know many different areas of the company and topics in a relatively short time. At the same time, you remain in close contact with the relevant departments beyond the end of the project. This allows you to experience at firsthand how the project result affects further success.

What I like most about being an Inhouse Consultant:

As an Internal Consultant at Boehringer Ingelheim, you are valued and sought after by the various business units as a reliable partner. In addition to know-how and project management skills, we bring a neutral overarching company perspective, and we all work 100% towards the same corporate goals. This creates the conditions for successful, trusting and constructive cooperation.

My life before joining the Inhouse Consultancy:

After my Bachelor’s degree in Business Psychology and Master’s degree in business administration, I joined Accenture as a management consultant. I managed projects for life science clients in different European countries and was able to acquire project management skills as well as relevant pharma industry knowledge at the same time.

Internal Consulting is the right place for me to combine my passion for working on strategic projects on the one hand with a sustainable and holistic mindset on the other hand.

What I like to do in my spare time:

As a balance to office work, I like to get on the road bike or I go jogging in the forest or along the Main river.
