Verena Ohst
Project Manager
My Job as Inhouse Consultant:
At CSP we work on strategic transformation projects that bring our vision “Leading European Telco” into action. As a project manager I have various roles, where I get the opportunity to expand my professional know-how and to push my personal development.
In my practice Organization & HR, I deal with organization-related topics at Deutsche Telekom AG, such as reorganizations, social partner management, change management and skill transformation.
My daily challenges:
As an in-house consultant, I drive strategically relevant topics beyond partially existing telecom-silo boundaries. In addition to the goal to be achieved in terms of content, we also aim to anchor our constructive and efficient way of working in the Group. Ultimately the relevant topics need to be anchored in the specialist area. Hence, I am constantly I an area of tension between consultant and colleague, which is very challenging on the one hand and very enriching on the other.
Why I like to work as Inhouse Consultant:
In my everyday project work, I face new challenges every day, so my learning curve is enormously steep. In addition, our center culture is unique: we motivate each other to high performance and foster a feedback culture. Some of my colleagues have now become friends.
What I like most about being an Inhouse Consultant:
At CSP we work not only FOR the customer, but also WITH our colleagues. In addition, the CSP enjoys a high reputation within the Group as a whole: it enables us to take part in the Hot Topics so we can make a difference within the Group! At the same time, the CSP prepares us for future leadership responsibility in the Group, which gives us attractive career opportunities combined with the right equipment of relevant skills.
My life before joining the Inhouse Consultancy:
The classic path from university to consulting is not the only one leading to CSP – almost three years ago I dared to switch from the Telekom HR organization to consulting. “Challenge accepted”: I wasn’t afraid of the steep learning curve and took on the new challenges in terms of content, methodology and culture.
What I like to do in my spare time:
I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I also like to go for a run.
