Ben Taussig
I get the chance to lead multiple projects simultaneously and drive them in my own manner to meaningfully influence the outcome and generate value for the BASF.
My life before joining BASF Inhouse Consulting
I worked for 5 years in an external consultancy before joining BASF and have found that inhouse consulting has all of good parts of external consultancy with less travel, more exposure to management, more responsibility, and additional leverage in projects.
My motivation to join BASF Inhouse Consulting
What I really like about my job: I am responsible for advising clients on how to improve or optimize site logistic at their plants. This includes analysis and optimization of traffic, material handling to/from production, storage solutions, picking, truck unloading/loading and general processes throughout the site. On a day-to-day basis, I am helping clients understand how changes in their production rates, market strategies, and portfolio affect the site logistics functions.
What I enjoy most at BASF Inhouse Consulting
I love inhouse consulting, as it gives me the ability to switch between high priority projects as I see fit. If I need a break from a project, I can often switch my focus to another for a day, and come back when my creativity is replenished. Additionally, I interact with a broad range of people throughout the organization building my network and learning more about myself in the process.
