In 2014, I changed from McKinsey to Volkswagen Consulting. I am Associate Principal in our “Sales & Mobility” team, responsible for 1-2 client projects and our internal “TBWT – Team Building and Values Team”. Delivering successful client projects is just as important to me as the recruiting and development of high potentials.
We are the Top-Management consultancy within the Volkswagen Group for all kind of strategy related topics. A significant challenge compared to an external consultancy: Being a neutral counselor and colleague at the same time. However, a close and collaborative relationship with our clients is also a success factor to develop accepted and implementable solutions.
An inhouse consultant is able to combine the neutral position of an external consultant with the team spirit of internal colleagues. The collaboration with our clients is closer, more cooperative and sustainable compared to an external consultancy. One’s own person and the delivered results are typically highly appreciated.
I like the team, the dynamic environment as well as the strategic challenges of the automotive sector in general and Volkswagen in particular. We support the Volkswagen Group in a variety of projects on its path into a new era of future mobility.
I joined McKinsey in 2006 straight from university and focused primarily on the automotive & assembly sector – with Volkswagen being one of my key clients. A Principal of Volkswagen Consulting initiated the contact following a joint project.
