Head of Organization & Processes/ Teamleader (Principal), Inhouse Consulting Postbank
Started as a project manager in 2015, I am today as a team leader not only a contact person for my project teams regarding functional topics but have also a disciplinary responsibility for consultants of our IC team. Project wise, my emphasis has so far been on strategic, bank-wide programs as well as on the digitization of the end-to-end processes for consumer loans. In addition to my projects, I support the development of our department – the main focus here being on recruiting and the strategic orientation of inhouse consulting as an internal top management consulting.
The core of our work as management consultants is to put the top management of Postbank into the position to make decisions on strategically relevant questions, mainly by providing transparency – in this way we enable the implementation of suitable solutions. We are a trustworthy partner of senior management and an internal service provider for all areas of the bank. In the context of strategy, organization & transformation, digitalization and regulatory, we structure complex tasks, develop tailor-made solutions and coordinate relevant stakeholders. In addition to conceptual support and classic project management, we assume responsibility for implementation in the projects as co-(sub) project manager.
In addition to the varied and challenging problems that must be solved in the current situation of our industry, I am attracted by the chance to give impulses and to drive my own ideas – whether in projects, in employee development or in the expansion of inhouse consulting. Additionally, cooperation within a great team is key to me.
The advantages of internal management consulting – the opportunity to experience project results and to achieve positive effects for one’s own employer – I have already learned to appreciate when I started my career. After seven years of external consulting for financial services providers, today I can combine my previous focus on consulting and banking with my home town Bonn and my role as a father. In addition, I am delighted to help shaping a management consulting unit.
After an apprenticeship in banking and gaining a VWL diploma, including internships in consultancy and banking, as well as founding a student management consultancy, I have already gained my first inhouse consulting experience with DPWN Business Consulting (now DHL Consulting). This was followed by engagements with external management consultancies with focus on financial services at Kienbaum and Capco, before I once again was captivated by the fascination of Inhouse Consulting at Postbank.
At the moment, I enjoy spending time with my family – whether in the garden, on the playground or during extended barbecue nights. In addition, I am interested in sports – passive as active – and in modern art. Besides, I love to travel and cook.
