Project Manager, E.ON Inhouse Consulting GmbH
I started as a Project Consultant right after I finished university and until today I have been working at E.ON Inhouse Consulting for more than 10 years, being rewarded for my ten year’s jubilee in 2020. By the end of the year, I was promoted to Director which gives me the overall responsibility of the strategic development of ECON and our projects by leading the ECON family.
E.ON Inhouse Consulting provides consulting services to all business divisions of the E.ON Group. Thus, I work on diverse energy-related topics and I am always getting to know new divisions and colleagues. In addition to the everyday project challenges, as an inhouse consultant I face the combined challenge of ensuring the optimal project outcome for my clients, while also staying focused on the optimal outcome for the E.ON Group.
For me, working as an inhouse consultant brings together three aspects: You learn about the same methods and procedures that are found in external consulting and develop specific knowledge about a company or an industry. Moreover, you get direct feedback as to whether your own concepts and ideas are feasible in practice, since you are much closer to what is happening in the company.
In the first place of course the E.ON Inhouse Consulting team. I did not only meet very friendly colleagues but I also made new friends. I like the open and cooperative atmosphere in which we as inhouse consultants shape E.ON’s future together with our clients. As the energy world faces a lot of changes and development right now, I cannot imagine a more interesting position than a job within E.ON.
I studied industrial engineering, specializing in industrial management, at the Technical University of Dortmund. In addition to my studies, I got to know different operations and companies through several internships, including most importantly, the energy sector and also the E.ON Group.
I spend my free time with friends or family and try to relax by playing sports or reading an interesting book or spend my time sailing.
